Heading north along Amsterdam. 2 days after a storm, the snow starts turning black, forming slush and puddles everywhere.

Still lots of snow. The traffic during the afternoon was brutal, because much of Manhattan was reduced by a lane. Thankfully, I was not driving.

Walking east along W 62nd St, past the Big Apple Circus in Damrosch Park. Is it worth checking out? I've passed it a million times over the years.

The snow at Lincoln Center is higher than the fountain, to the right. Interestingly, they're running the new fountain during the winter. Does it have heated water?

The "David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center" isn't actually at Lincoln Center; it's a public space on 62nd and Broadway with a Wichcraft, seating, and Wi-Fi. One of the nifty secrets in Lincoln Square.

And another view. The Atrium also sells Lincoln Center tickets, including tour tickets.

The basement at the Guggenheim had a quiet "interwar posters" exhibit. Alas, it was only about 6 posters.

My favorite picture of the main rotunda at Guggenheim.

Ziga trying to capture the breadth (and dirtiness) of the snow, I think.

Sun setting along 5th Ave on a very slushy (but at least warmer) day.

Park Avenue and 86th St., looking south.

Park Ave. has more lit Christmas trees than I realized during the holidays. Am I a West Sider or what?

Catching some of the Christmas/holiday displays before they're gone.

The store, as usual, is packed. If you didn't already know, it's the highest-grossing store (of any type) in North America.
P1060053.jpg
FAO, surprisingly, was still jammed post-Christmas.

OMG monster puppies.
P1060060.jpg
Yes, that's how big said puppies were.

Shopping central in Midtown.

The famous Solow building (9 W. 57th St.). Note that the wreathed candycanes have snow on top of them! So very awesome.

One last gander at the Columbus Circle holiday display on my way home.
